Vida is a super senior  who weighs 7lbs,and is 15-17 years old, but don’t let that fool you she is pretty spry for a dog her age.
Vida had a rough life before she came to AZCR and her scars show that.
She has lost most of her eyesight, through an animal attack, one eye is completely blind, and one is almost blind, she can see shadows, and her hearing and sense of smell help her make up for that loss.
We don’t ring a dinner bell for her but her foster mom makes sure she “clinks” her bowls together so she can hear it coming, and so she can maneuver her way to the sound.
Like most seniors Vida likes to sleep, eat mostly but she also likes to walk her yard, several times a day for exercise, and she LOVES to just cuddle next to her human, but don’t forget to have a soft blanket, she LOVES to rub her face in them before a nice nap at your side.
Vida is VERY house broken, she will not use potty pads, and she will squeal loudly that she needs to go outside.
Vida will need more time than a dog with sight to relax and get used to her new home, she can not tell daytime from nighttime, so it will take a bit of time for her to learn your schedule, but she WILL learn it.
Vida does well with other small calm dogs, and kitties.
If you have prior experience with a blind dog, please add that to your application in the notes.
