Meet Bunny 💜
Arizona Chihuahua Rescue is helping network Bunny on behalf of another rescue partner in hopes of finding the special home she desperately needs.
Bunny is a 2-year-old Dachshund/Chihuahua mix with neurological challenges believed to be related to severe trauma she experienced early in life. Despite everything she has been through, Bunny continues to try, learn, and connect in her own unique way.
Bunny is not your typical dog. She needs:
• A very quiet home
• No other animals
• A patient, understanding adopter or foster
• Someone comfortable with daily medications and management
She can be sensitive to noise, easily startled, and overwhelmed by busy environments. Shelter life has been extremely difficult for her, and after a year in foster care, we are urgently hoping to find a calmer setting where she can finally feel safe and understood.
Bunny enjoys sniffing, exploring, zooming around the yard, treats, and being near her person. While she may never be a cuddly lap dog, she is slowly learning trust and has made progress with patience and gentle handling.
Her ideal home would be:
🏡 Quiet and low traffic
🐾 No other pets
💜 Someone experienced with special-needs or neurologically sensitive dogs
🌿 A secure yard or safe space to run and decompress
Bunny is currently on medication for anxiety and sensory regulation and will need continued veterinary support and structure.
We know her perfect person is out there — someone willing to see beyond her challenges and give her the peaceful life she deserves.
Please share Bunny to help us find her foster, foster-to-adopt, or forever home.
