Bruno – Adoption Pending

Bruno is the cutest 10lb chiweenie. He has the long body with the short legs, expressive eyes and sometimes he has one ear up and one down. His approximate birthday is 9/18/22.  He is a fun dog who likes to run and play with toys and the other dogs. He is kennel trained and sleeps quietly in his kennel. He does well with going outside to potty,  he is eager to please, so we encouraged this with lots of praise. He is still learning to walk on a leash. He has a few quirks and can be a little jumpy and uncertain of his new surroundings, people, and dogs. He came from a hoarding situation but he’s getting accustomed to new things and slowly learning it’s safe. He really needs someone who will give him time to adjust. He would not be good with smaller children, mostly because they are so active and move quickly, he gets anxious and needs a calmer home. He would be fine with children over 14 years old. He takes longer to warm up to men,  but it just takes time and maybe some treats! He is better with dogs his size, although I do have a medium sized dog and it took about 2 weeks for him to warm up to him and they play all the time now. He has already been returned once for his quirky behaviors, so finding him the perfect fit is very important. If you think you may be willing to work with him, he is totally worth it.  Once he trusts you, he is your loyal companion. He will follow you everywhere and he loves to snuggle.
